Randee Elaine Salon & NY Laser Center
Review By: Pretty City Editors
At the cusp of the West Village and Chelsea, where some of the best New York
City restaurants and boutiques thrive, stands the two-story Randee
Elaine Salon and NY Laser Center. Perfect for an afternoon of lunch and
beauty treatment with the girls, Randee
Elaine is located near all of the west side trains and some wonderful shops,
bars and cafes. For over fifteen years Frank Kaufman has owned and operated
the salon and the growth is obvious. Years ago, when I lived in the area, I
frequented Randee
Elaine for everything from waxing to massages. Since, the cozy little salon
has quadrupled in size and available services. With recent remodeling and additions,
this all-gender friendly spa offers almost any service under the sun in a friendly,
casual environment.
From manicures to facials to laser treatment of all kinds, Randee
Elaine offers its clients an extensive menu, guaranteeing your expectations
will be met. They also pride themselves on their affordable rates.
The salon buzzes with dozens of women, giving it the sisterly feeling of a
sorority house where one could sit in sweatpants and hair foils all afternoon
gossiping. There's also the option to shop from a variety of high-end hair and
skin products at the reception desk.
I visited Randee
Elaine for their Microdermabrasion treatment. Microdermabrasion is used
for skin resurfacing and deep exfoliation. It is considered the most natural
way to evenly and safely exfoliate the skin, minimize acne, undo pigmentation
problems, and relieve sun-damaged skin. Minute crystals, used as the exfoliating
agent, gently resurface layers of the skin and remove dead cells that accumulate
over time. This virtually painless process brings out fresh, new, and vibrant
skin. The entire procedure takes about an hour and a half while lying on a table.
After being welcomed into the spa and introduced to my esthetician, we got
started. My esthetician began by performing a mini facial to thoroughly cleanse
my face, ridding it of impurities and preparing for the Microdermabrasion. Randee
Elaine Salon and NY Laser Center uses Dinnure products-an all-natural, and
affordable, line from Israel. Randee Elaine is one of the only outlets in New
York that sells the line.
My esthetician first used a series of gentle Dinnure cleansers and mild exfoliants
to cleanse my face, along with an invigorating massage to stimulate circulation.
The esthetician determined the proper fruit mask for my skin type and applied
it, letting it set for ten minutes. After removing the mask with warm water,
she turned on the Image Micro Derm U Peel. The machine hummed as the esthetician
passed the wand responsible for the microdermabrasion over my entire face. The
pressure applied by the esthetician combined with a sucking sensation moves
crystals about the face in a subtle sanding motion for about five minutes.
After receiving the tiny sandstorm of a facial, my esthetician wiped any remaining
crystals from my face and then smoothed on a soothing aloe vera mask. After
it was removed removed, my esthetician applied a Dinnure mint moisturizer to
my face to moisturize and soothe my skin.
I expected my skin to be pink and irritated but, as I looked in the mirror,
it was positively glowing. My skin was baby-soft, redness from blemishes or
sun damage had almost entirely disappeared, and my fine lines and wrinkles had
faded.
Randee
Elaine offers an amazing price on this service especially if puchased increments
of six sessions. Offering free consultations and a seven page menu of services
including Permanent Make-Up, Cellulite Treatment, Tanning, Laser Hair Removal
and a variety of facials, Randee
Elaine Salon and NY Laser Center offers everything a visitor needs to feel
their most polished.
