Intense pulsed light (IPL™) therapy is a skin rejuvenation procedure that transforms red or blotchy skin into a radiant complexion. This non-invasive treatment uses pulses of high-intensity light (not lasers) to improve the skin's appearance.

PhotoFacial is one form of IPL™ therapy. During a PhotoFacial session, multiple wavelengths of light are emitted in a series of gentle pulses over a targeted area. This allows the light to penetrate through different levels of the skin to comprehensively correct abnormally dilated vessels and hyper-pigmentation. PhotoFacial was developed to improve the skin's pigmentation while requiring little or no down time for the patient.
